The Role
This role provides the lead surveyor function to Infrastructure Teams who are delivering new transport schemes, the Bus Franchising Programme and Network North Wales Investment plan.
Role responsibilities
- Advise the project team, Head of Commercial Property, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other directorates as required by using skills and expertise and via the drafting of papers to make recommendations which will ensure that decisions are made at the appropriate stage.
- Comprehensive understanding of interfaces and competing programmes by working closely with the project teams and managing property actions to ensure all projects keep to programme.
- Developing and negotiating the terms of agreements for new property lettings, easements, and wayleaves by working closely with TfW's legal support function to ensure that TfW's interests are suitably protected and not exposed to undue risk.
- Undertake the negotiation and drafting of heads of terms for land acquisitions and other forms of property transaction or commercial agreements via conference calls, on site meetings and written correspondence to facilitate the delivery of the Major projects and schemes in line with strict project deadlines.
Who we're looking for
- Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with land acquisitions and other forms of property transaction or commercial agreements.
- Experience relating to the delivery of infrastructure projects and schemes.
- Experience of effective client and stakeholder relationship management and track record of implementation, adherence, and compliance of reporting structures.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
