The Role
The Travel for all Senior Advisor will support the manager and Team leader to deliver the Travel for all principles across the TfW multimodal network.
The role supports Travel for all activities by assisting with data gathering, stakeholder engagement, supporting with the disabled peoples travel panel and the development of initiatives that improve accessibility and promote inclusive outcomes.
Role responsibilities
- Assist the Travel for All Team with project delivery by providing administrative support and working with the wider business to ensure the successful delivery of project to time, cost and quality.
- Provide administrative support for the Travel for All Team by coordinating meetings, taking detailed minutes in meetings, and preparing and tracking actions to ensure there is an accurate record of decisions and discussions.
- Reporting on Travel for All metrics by collating data through Business Objects and Power BI on areas such as, Passenger assistance and accessibility and inclusion compliance at stations and or interchanges as well as the accessibility compliance on our digital platforms to highlight trends and inform business decisions.
- Provide initial Travel for All advice where relevant to colleagues and respond to queries in the Travel for All mailbox, using subject matter knowledge and TfW policies to provide guidance in line with Travel for All objectives.
- Deliver and support the TfW Disabled people travel Panel by coordinating activities, managing reporting, arranging delivery of accessible materials including the production of tactile plans and alternative formats and contributing to planning, ensuring the programme drives accessibility and inclusion across the organisation. Collaborating with stakeholders with lived experience to gain insight and advice on changes and improvements for all.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of the Accessible Travel Policy (ATP) and Travel for All strategies by providing effective coordination and collaboration to ensure plans are delivered accurately and on time.
- Support the coordination of internal and external communications for the Travel for all team by providing timely verbal and written updates and follow up with stakeholders to keep informed of progress to ensure clear, consistent communication and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Support the Travel for All team with policy implementation and operational delivery of initiatives by providing effective administrative support and ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 to help deliver accessible, inclusive, and legally compliant services.
Who we're looking for
- Demonstratable experience of arranging, coordinating and supporting meetings and or panels or assistant working in a project role.
- Experience in managing and analysing data and the ability to create management reports with great attention to detail.
- A qualification in accessibility and inclusion or similar discipline (or equivalent experience)
- A demonstrable passion for Accessibility, Inclusion, Equalities and Diversity, evidenced by active involvement in initiatives, projects, or advocacy work, or equivalent, that promotes inclusive practices.
- Demonstrable Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010, its uses and limitations and Public Sector Equality Duty
- Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010, its uses and limitations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and an aptitude to learn bespoke applications and software solutions.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
