The Role
The Deputy Workplace Manager will support the Head of Workplace by managing the Workplace team and carry out statutory compliance to enable the organisation to carry out its core business across all its office locations
Role responsibilities
- Oversee the Workplace team and ensure that safety checks and audits are completed across all Transport for Wales office locations (e.g. hazardous substances, fire safety, furniture safety checks, legionella checks etc.) by working with the Safety and Sustainability team to provide a safe environment for all colleagues and visitors.
- Work closely with The Deputy Workplace Manager (Technical) to ensure all training for the team is undertaken and direct report training objectives are realised and delivered.
- Oversee the resourcing structure ensuring all remote sites are visited and key stakeholders are engaged with, monthly meetings are undertaken and all documentation is adhered to.
- Work closely with Finance business partners to ensure budgets are maintained by managing the operational budget for Wrexham and Penrhyndeudraeth offices to ensure operational costs do not exceed forecast budgeted costs
Who we're looking for
- Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of management or supervising a team.
- Hold IOSH or NEBOSH qualification(s) or be willing to undertake training.
- Experience of managing Soft Facilities services across multi-site locations and over a large geographical area.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
