No, you will need to live under 1 hour travel time from your chosen station at point of application. This is due to the safety critical nature of the role and the fatigue element associated with working shifts.

Yes, you can re-apply for the same position, but you will need to wait until 6 months have elapsed from the date of your interview.

The recruitment process can take up to 16 weeks.

Research into the role and company, make sure you understand the role you have applied for and what skills and experience you think you can bring to the role.

You will need to bring photo ID with you to your interview, which can include passport or driving licence card.

You will be able to view the skills and qualifications required for the role you have applied for, under the skills and qualifications sections of the Job Description.

For most of our roles, you do not need a driving license. However, you will need a way to get to work without relying on public transport.

If you fail on your first attempt, you will be able to re-apply for the position, but you will need to wait until 6 months has elapsed from the assessment date.

On appointment into a role, you will be enrolled into the Trainee Conductor/ Train Manager course for 13 weeks classroom learning. Following this you will spend time on the job training, with an experienced member of the team. At the end of the training, you will be fully assessed in all aspects of the role by one of our experienced managers.

The first 13 weeks will be classroom training in either based out of St. Patricks House, Cardiff. Or One City Place, Chester.

You'll work a 35-hour week over 4 days per week. The role requires flexibility as you will be working early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends.
